Our mission at Panther Crossing Apartments is to provide a safe, clean and ​welcoming environment for our resident community. Our property is designed, ​constructed and managed by Panther alumni with the expectation of fostering a ​sense of “home away from home” while our residents matriculate at Prairie View ​A & M University in Prairie View, Texas.

Panther Crossing is comprised of 2 buildings at 122 ​Dooley Street and 126 Dooley Street in the Prairie ​View Courts subdivision in Waller County, City of ​Prairie View, Texas. Situated on 1.2 acres in between ​Dooley Street and FM 1098, Panther Crossing sits ​across the Hobart-Taylor building and the Welcome ​Center.

Floor Plans

Residents share a 3-bedroom or 4-bedroom apartment with separate en-suite full bathrooms and divide both the​ electricity and water bills amongst the residents on property. These utility bills are due on the 1st of each month along ​with the monthly rent.

How many residents can share a unit?

    • We have 3-bedroom and 4-bedroom floor plans
    • There are 3 suites in the downstairs apartment ​unit
    • There are 4 suites in the upstairs apartment ​unit
    • Each suite has its own private full bathroom
    • Applicants can request room mates/building ​mates when completing an application. ​Assignments are not guaranteed.


  • What are the costs associated with applying and securing a ​space at the Panther Crossing Complex?
    • $60 NON-REFUNDABLE APPLICATION FEE - ​Panther Crossing requires a NON-REFUNDABLE ​Application Fee of $60 due at the time of applying ​online. This fee is not a deposit nor a security deposit ​that is refunded at the end of a lease.
    • MONTHLY RENT PER RESIDENT - Call for current ​pricing at 832.969.4464.



When can residents move in?

    • The Panther Crossing Complex schedules check-in ​appointments with each resident. Dates may vary. ​Residents should inquire with Panther Crossing ​management for their respective move-in dates and ​times.


Must I be a student to apply for housing at Panther Crossing?

    • Yes. The Panther Crossing Apartments are home to those currently ​enrolled at Prairie View A & M University, either as an ​undergraduate, graduate, faculty or staff member. Any exceptions ​must be approved by Panther Crossing management.


Are Co-Signers/Guarantors required on the ​application?

  • YES. All Applicants must provide a co-​signer with a credit score of 650 or above.

Application Criteria

ALL Resident Applicants must:

  • Be a student at Prairie View A & M University; rather ​undergraduate or graduate, full-time or part-time
  • Have no prior broken leases or fees owed to a previous ​landlord
  • Apply with a Parent as the co-signer (30 years of age ​or older), with a credit score of 650 or above and proof ​of income that is more than 2.9 times the lease rate
  • Pay the NON-REFUNDABLE APPLICATION FEE, the ​SECURITY DEPOSIT and 1st month’s rent prior to move ​in
  • Follow the House Rules at Panther Crossing!

Application ​Process

Both student applicant and co-signer must complete ​and submit the application. *A non-refundable ​application fee is required for submission

The application will go through thorough review. ​*Additional background check as well* Should the ​student and co-signer meet all applicant criteria, the ​application will be accepted and applicant will receive ​notification.

Upon application acceptance, a security deposit and 1st ​month’s rent must be submitted to secure resident ​space.
